Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 16, , has congratulated newly decorated police officers, commending their 21 years of dedicated service.
Adenola decorated 17 officers who were promoted from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police at the Zonal Headquarters in .
He praised their hard work, discipline, and perseverance, noting that their promotion comes with increased responsibility and expectations.
The AIG urged the officers to uphold integrity and professionalism, warning against actions that could tarnish the image of the Nigeria Police Force.
He emphasized that the police exist to serve the public, aligning with the vision of the current Inspector General of Police to build a people-friendly police force. Adenola encouraged the officers to earn public trust and use their authority responsibly, without oppressing citizens.
Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, ASP expressed gratitude to God, the Inspector General of Police, and AIG Adenola for the honour.
He assured that the officers would remain disciplined, loyal, and committed to their duties in service to the nation.
