Tinubu Condemns Plateau, Kaduna Killings, Orders Security Crackdown

President Bola Tinubu has condemned recent attacks in Plateau State and Kaduna State, describing the killings as “barbaric and unacceptable” and vowing that those responsible will face justice.

The incidents occurred in Angwan Rukuba in Jos and Kahir village in Kagarko Local Government Area, where several people were killed and others abducted, including wedding guests.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President directed security agencies to intensify efforts to apprehend the perpetrators and prevent further violence.

Tinubu warned that attacks on civilians could trigger reprisals and urged authorities to act on intelligence to stop future incidents. He also cautioned against misinformation, advising the media to avoid unverified claims about the motives behind the attacks.

The President called for the immediate rescue of those abducted in Kaduna and urged greater public cooperation with security agencies.

He commended the responses of Caleb Mutfwang and Uba Sani for efforts to contain the situation and support rescue operations.

Tinubu extended condolences to the families of victims and reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening security operations, including the deployment of advanced equipment to track criminal groups.
