Taraba Gov, Signs 2020 into Law Appropriation Bill.

 The Taraba state Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has signed into law the twenty twenty appropriation bill.


The Budget is titled “Budget of accelerated growth and development.” It provides for projects that will rapidly open the state for fast development.


 Speaking after signing the budget, Governor Darius Ishaku said the budget represents the determination of his administration to work harder and leave indelible marks on the sands of history in the state.


Ishaku said the budget was specially tailored to cover most areas being targeted for development under his rescue administration.


The Governor recalled some of the landmark achievements of the first tenure of his administration and noted that water provision,  education, transportation, health and empowerment of women and youths remain the most notable.
 He commended the state House of Assembly for the cooperation his administration had enjoyed so far that has enabled him achieve alots.


 Governor Ishaku said his administration was determined to consolidate on its achievements by working harder in the second phase of his administration. 
He disclosed that he would soon inaugurate the Taraba State water Company to consolidate the gains of his administration in the provision of water. 
 The Governor revealed  that the dualisation of the Airport road in Jalingo has begun with the movement of the contractors to site saying the road would have an overhead bridge that would create ample space for parking by heavy duty vehicles.


 Also speaking at the ceremony, Speaker of the State House of Assembly Joseph Albasu Kunini said members had to forfeit their Christmas and New Year holidays to pass the budget.
Kunini commended the legislators for the sacrifice and Governor Ishaku for the cooperation the members had enjoyed from his administration.


 The Speaker promised the cooperation of the House to ensure faster development of the state.
