Olukoyi Charge Residents on Development of Community

A distinguished traditional ruler in Osun State, the Olukoyi of Ikoyi land in Isokan South Local Council Development Area of the state, Oba Yisau Bamitale Otunla, Kodaolu 1 has called on residents of the community both at home and abroad to troop out enmass and contribute to the “Ikoyi Day 2019 & Launching of N50million For The City Ultra Modern Hall.
The Olukoyi made this call recently, while having a special meeting with some community leaders and the planning committee of the annual event in his palace.
Oba Otunla said, it is imperative for all sons and daughters of the ancient community to always contribute to the development of Ikoyi land saying it will be an avenue for the town to be competing with other urban cities not only in Osun State but across the Country.
The Olukoyi further assured the residents that all money contributed  would  be used judiciously.
He commended the residents for their unflinching support and cooperation to him and the entire Olukoyi in Council saying the land will continue to be above others.
While speaking, the Chairman, planning committee of the event, Alhaji (Hon) Oyegunle Suleimon Adio corroborated the Monarch, saying it is good for the residents to join hands with the traditional ruler in developing the community for the benefit of all and sundry.
According to Adio, people from all walks of life were expected to witness the annual event that will hold on Saturday the 12th day of January, 2019 at Community Middle School, Oranran road, Ikoyi.
The Chairman of the occasion is Alhaji T.I.Bello while Yeye Omolara Oyewumi would be Mother of the day.
A Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP Chieftain in the state, Dr Akin Ogunbiyi is expected to be the Chief launcher while Chief Kayode Olaposi, the Atayese of Ikoyi land is the Chairman of the day.
Others were Madam Oyelami Juliana who will be the Chairperson of the event and Hon Prince Oyelami Wasiu, the Executive Chairman of the Council area as the Chief Host.
