Wife of Kogi State Governor, Mrs. Rashida Bello, and North Central Zonal Women and Youth Coordinator for Buhari’s re-election campaign has called on women in Kogi State and the North Central states in Nigeria to intensify support for the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and his re-election in order to take the nation to the Next Level.
This is contained in a statement by the SSA media to the Kogi governors wife, Mrs Olamide Adesoro.
Mrs Bello made the call at the APC women town hall meeting which took plac at Glass House, Government House Lokoja.
The event was chaired by the National Women Leader, of the APC, Hajia Salamatu Baiwa and had in attendance the wife of the Vice President Dolapo Osinbanjo who represented the wife of the President Aisha Buhari, APC State Governors wives, Dame Pauline Tallen and a host of other dignitaries, top government officials and APC stakeholders.
The town hall meeting witnessed massive turnout of women and youth from the 21 local government areas of Kogi State. Who came out to drum their support for the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and his reelection.
In her speech, wife of the President Aisha Buhari stated that women and youths play significant and crucial role in the social and economic development of any country or state and commended the women and youths for coming out en-masse to declare their support for the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration.
Also Speaking at the event, National Women Leader, Hajia Salamatu Baiwa said women and Youths constitute the greater percentage of every society and are also a determinant factor for the successful struggle in every society.
In the same vein, His Excellency, Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello applauded the women for coming out en-masse to declare their support for the government of President Muhammadu Buhari, stating that the essence of the town hall meeting was to encourage women and youth to fully participate in politics and also to raise awareness about the need to shun violence during and after the general election.
Mrs. Bello therefore implored women to go back home to their kinsmen, to preach the gospel for continuity progression and consolidation as represented the APC and urged them to come out to cast their vote come February
