PDP wins Plateau North senatorial district seat

Member representing Riyom/ Barkin Ladi, Plateau state, in the house of representative Istifanus Gyang has been declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the winner of the Plateau North senatorial election.

Gyang, who is of the Peoples Democratic Party scored 26,955 to defeat Rufus Bature, who polled 17,123

The result which has been delayed since Saturday, was finally announced in Jos North on Thursday by Professor Christopher Vande the Coalition and Returning officer for the Plateau north senatorial district
