Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, floored the All Progressives Congress, APC, in last Saturday’s governorship election with a major landslide despite the low voters turnout that marred the votes.
The PDP governorship candidate, who is the incumbent Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Uguanyi polled 449,935 as against APC’s candidate that polled 10,423, despite the voter apathy displayed during the election.
Total number of forty-two (42) Political Parties participated in the election that cut across the seventeen (17) Local Government Areas of the state.

The Returning Officer, Prof. Joseph Ahaneku, Vice Chancellor Nnamdi Azikwe University Awka declared the results
