Rural electrification: Nasarawa Speaker secures transformers for Toto LGA , hails Gov Sule’s intervention

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon Ibrahim  Balarabe Abdullahi, has secured two 33 KVA transformers for Toto Local Government Area of the state to boost power supply and enhance the socio- economic activities of the people.

To this end, the speaker has appreciated the State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule  for the gesture  while assuring him of his peoples resolve to support  his administration beyond 2023.

Balarabe Abdullahi said that the installation of the transformers which is being handled by Nasarawa Electricity Power Agency (NaEPA) would also improve on the standard of living of the people, boost revenue  and enhance development in the area.

According to him, one of the transformers is cited in Toto, the Headquarters of Toto Local Government Area while the other transformer will be cited in Gadabuke, the Headquarters of Gadabuke Development Area of the state.

The speaker added that the importance of electricity to human and  societal development could not be overemphasized, hence the need of his determination to lobby for the transformers from the state government.

” The governor in his magnanimity has graciously approved the installation  of the transformers for me in any part of my local government, that I deemed it necessary.

“You know Toto Local Government is one of the larger local governments in the state with two constituencies, Umaisha/ Ugya which is my own constituency and Toto/ Gadabuke and I deemed it necessary and important as a very  significant project and life touching, I should extend it and start from the second constituency because my own immediate constituency has benefited a lot in my interventions.

” Let the people of Toto and Gadabuke feel my impact on this aspect because Toto Local Government  is my local government as the project will gradually be expanded and other areas will soon get their turn.

” I most sincerity thank His Excellency,  Engr. A A Sule for this gesture, “the Speaker said.

Ibrahim Balarabe also assured of his leadership continued readiness to give the executive arm all the necessary support to succeed.

Besides, he urged the people of the area to pray for the success of Gov. Abdullahi Sule and President Muhammadu Buhari administrations to succeed.

Also speaking, the Executive Chairman,  Toto LGA, Prince Nuhu Adamu Dauda  who  led other council members, management and some associations to the installation site of the 33kv transformer for Toto Town lauded the speaker for his leadership qualities.

” I want to appreciate our amiable speaker, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi for lobbied  and ensuring that our local government get these transformers in order to boost the socio-economic activities of our people.

” We also thank His Excellency,  Engr. A A Sule  for the donation of the transformers. He is an investment friendly governor who have the desire to industrialise and develop the state.

” We will continue to remain grateful to His Excellency and support his administration at all times to succeed,” he said.

The council boss also commended  the governor for ensuring that peace returns to Toto local government while assuring of his administration’s determination to sustain the peace being enjoyed in the area.

In their separate speeches, Sarkin Samari ( Youth Leader)  of Toto LGA,  Speaker Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Labour Leader of Toto LGA, Isanayi’s Ladies Association of Adadu among other individuals and groups showered encomiums on the speaker for lobby and providing the people of the area with much needed dividends of democracy.

They have assured the speaker and Gov. Sule of their loyalty and unalloyed support to enable them succeed in the task ahead of them.
