Ewa’s Thought in Words

KNOW YOUR SELF-WORTH. . .

Knowing your self-worth remains the springboard upon which an individual can gain the relevance that does not require anyone’s validation. Your self-worth is informed by your thoughts, thoughts of the good qualities that make you special, thoughts of the good things you know about yourself that no one does, thoughts of what makes you standout and unique, thoughts of your gifts and talents, potentials and capabilities, thoughts of love for self and life. Your self-worth or value delineates your confidence. Until you believe in your self-worth, you will always feel like an empty hollow gong. . .

Feeling low and irrelevant is habitually the problem with people who do not know their self-worth. They end up with self projections and low self- esteem. They literally struggle with recognizing their self value or with believing in themselves. They are always feeling unimportant, inferior and intellectually inadequate or unavailable as the case may be.

The issue of self-worth is basically an individual problem. That is to say, the value you place on yourself as an individual determines the way you feel about yourself, the way you carry yourself and even the way others would likely treat you. It’s true that a lot of people have lost their self-worth due to certain life incidents or occurrences, but life happens and we do not have to remain in that unacceptable position it might leave us sometimes. . . Because, when we give in, we probably might be throwing away our self confidence and when that happens we are definitely giving away our self value and creating within us an unworthiness that begins to control our mind and projections. In essences, let us be wary of the effects of lack of self- worth or value.

There are a few reasons that could be responsible for low self-worth in an individual and this includes; unhappy childhood, poor academic performance, unabating health issues, financial challenges, relationship breakdown, stressful life events like the many current realities of harsh life conditions where insecuriy is doting every second and every minute of the day, leaving one practically in a recurring state of anxiety where they are not sure what happens the next minute.

The practical danger of losing self-worth or self value is that you never get to belief that you are good enough for anything. You constantly suffer self hate and cannot forgive youreslf for even the simplest mistake. You drive yourself crazy with the thoughts of perfection because your desire for perfection is more like an obsession, just because you believe that it is only in finding perfection that you gain importance. The danger therefore remains that you will always be unhappy and unsatisfied with life, even if you are literally swimming in abundance, you will always feel inadequate, unimportant, inferior, not enough, simply put low self-esteem. Whatever the situation, know your self-worth and live it.
Never, let any situation or life circumstances to pull you down so low that you begin to lose your sense of self value.
