Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria, ATPN, has inaugurated through a virtual conference a new Board of Trustees who have vowed to introduce cutting edge visionary leadership into the tourism industry.
The Board members comprising of accomplished professionals in the different diverse fields of the tourism unequivocally promised to that it’s a new Dawn for the association as they equally promised to support the ATPN Executive committee.
The new Board members who were inaugurated on Friday comprised of Alh Kabir Malan, Mr. John Best , Mr. Ganiyu Tarzan Balogun, Chief Andy Ehanire , Mr. Frank Meke and Hon Abdulmumin Mapindi.
The members resolved to continue to ensure greater collaboration and synergy with their wider stakeholders including the public administrators.
The members eulogied Chief Amachree, the pioneer Board Chairman who laid a solid foundation for ATPN and observed a moment silence in honour of tourism fallen heroes, including the recent passing on of the FTAN President, Alh Rabo.
The name of a foremost tourism writer, late Lanre Awoseyin, was recalled, and it was resolved that his flagship Journal, Hospitality and Tourism, must not be allowed to die.
