NUJ Calls On Sokoto Government To Always Release Funds For Contractors For Quality And Speedy Work

The NUJ chairman, Comrade Isah Abubakar Shuni made the remark when he took working Journalists in the state for an inspection visit to Government Girls Science Academy and Sokoto University Teaching Hospital at Kasarawa village in Sokoto.

He said the general overview as explained by the sites engineers was 75% stage of completion with the assurance that all the projects would be completed before the stipulated period of eighteen months going by quality and speed of the works.

“As far as the NUJ is concerned, they are maintaining the quality and speed and therefore worthy of commendation.

“Generally, going by the financial economic situation of Nigeria, Sokoto in particular, he called on the state government to consider completion of all projects within and outside the metropolis for the importance attached on them by the masses in the state “, said the Chairman.

Comrade Shuni also called on the state government to empower the contractors by giving them financial support whenever they are in need of additional funds to continue with their work none stop which gives them more power and energy to move ahead with the projects.
