FG to verify assets seized from Nigerian travelers on Ethiopian Airline

The Nigerian Government is set to receive assets seized from Nigerian travellers on Ethiopian Airline.

Government office of Nigeria in Addis Ababa said it is currently working with it  Ethiopian counterpart to verify undeclared monies seized from Nigerians travelling on Ethiopian airlines.

Acting Spokesperson, Service of Foreign, Affairs, Friday Akpan who marked the announcement stated:

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to educate every Nigerian voyager that the Ethiopian Customs and Revenue Authority (ECRA) has as of late ventured up seizure of remote monetary standards and resources in abundance of $3 000 (three thousand US Dollars) from travellers travelling Ethiopia without the earlier revelation of such assets.

“The standard on the relinquishment of undeclared assets applies to all travellers venturing out to Ethiopia or travelling, including the arraignment of guilty parties of illegal tax avoidance in accordance with Ethiopian Laws.”

The Ministry asks all planned Nigerian Travellers to observe this advice to avoid embarrassment.
