Rep. Busayo Oke, representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State, expresses appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing the new Service Chiefs, the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), and the Acting Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS).
The appointments, which were approved by Tinubu on Monday, are worth noting.
The new appointees include Mallam Nuhu Ribadu as the National Security Adviser, Maj. Gen. C.G Musa as the Chief of Defence Staff, Maj. T. A Lagbaja as the Chief of Army Staff, Rear Admiral E. A Ogalla as the Chief of Naval Staff, AVM H.B Abubakar as the Chief of Air Staff, DIG Kayode Egbetokun as the Acting Inspector-General of Police, and DCG Adeniyi Bashir Adewale as the Ag. Comptroller General of Customs. Rep. Busayo Oke, the immediate past Chairman of the House of Representatives Public Accounts Committee (PAC), commended President Tinubu for these appointments and urged the new appointees to fulfill their responsibilities and restore the country to a state of peace, stability, and prosperity. He emphasized the need for improved security and urged the security chiefs to address the existing challenges effectively. Oke also praised Tinubu for selecting two individuals from Osun State and encouraged them to represent the state well in their respective roles.
