Abuja Furniture Production (AFP), the furniture production unit of Nigeria’s pace-setting and most reliable engineering construction company, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, has won its bid to provide turnkey furnishing for the head office of the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

AFP, it may be recalled, is the leading furniture production and furnishing design and implementation company in Nigeria. AFP has consistently on the merit won ‘Nigeria’s leading furniture company of the Year’ award for the last four consecutive years at the very highly rated annual Abuja International Housing Show which is reputed to be professionally governed by international best practices.

AFP clients across the country are united in opinion that its works are proudly powered by the finest attention to detail and due diligence and are accomplished with the strictest adherence to best international standards in delivery. At the 4th annual consecutive award of ‘Nigeria’s leading furniture company of the Year’ to AFP in Abuja in December last year, the head of the Media Relations Office of Julius Berger Plc, Prince Moses Duku, confidently said: “…at Julius Berger, we mean Business, because we know the customer is King”.

The contract covers the fabrication, production, supply and fixture of furniture pieces, executive office tables and chairs, built-in office cabinets and storage cupboards, meeting rooms, conference tables of different seating capacities, library and training centre furnisings, including miscellaneous work spaces and their related furniture and furnishing works and accessories. Our source at the NPDC, who requested anonymity, informed our correspondent that, while NPDC shall undertake the contract services on milestone basis of services properly performed, the AFP on the other hand shall be solely responsible, at its own expense for providing all materials, equipment, personnel, supervision, other services and expertise necessary to perform the works required for implementation of the project.

When we contacted him to comment on the AFP contract, Duku, brimming with positive and inspiring confidence, said: “Without having to speak to contractual specificities due to understandable legal confidentiality requirements, let me simply say that the AFP, in strict compliance with the ISO-certified high quality standards of Julius Berger’s excellent operational phiolosphy, policy and ever dependable business implementation ethics, is resourcefully, strongly, and reliably poised to deliver on its contractual obligations to the NPDC…. Duku further said: At the Julius Berger AFP, we believe that a workplace environment should reflect the business vision, values and strategy creating spaces that empower employees and executives and improve engagement. Our ever satisfied clients remain our best advertorials for the superb delivery by which we work progressively to always excel our clients’ expectations”.

The Julius Berger AFP, last year unveiled its virtual showroom to its highly valued clients and would be clients. AFP “offers an exquisite showcase of modern interior design and innovative home technology concepts, a fully functional five star hotel suite and a luxury home cinema. The entire concept allows AFP the opportunity to showcase its portfolio in virtual reality giving customers the ability to discover and engage with AFP’s entire product range in the AFP’s actual showroom space. Clients can now from anywhere in the world intuitively browse AFP’s offerings, as well as explore and compare different material selections, variations and technical details”.

Duku, during the launch of the AFP Virtual Showroom, cordially invited customers to visit at the Julius Berger AFP showrooms located at No.53 Gana Street Maitama Abuja and No. 33 Sanusi Fafunwa street, Victoria Island, Lagos, respectively. Duku also said the AFP is presently making arrangements to open shop in Port Harcourt, adding that the AFP showrooms remain open to clients.
