Again Sen. Bwacha Sweeps APC primaries with 778 votes in Taraba

Senator Emmanuel Bwacha has been declared winner of the fresh All Progressive Congress, APC gubernitorial primaries in Taraba state.

Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha polled seven hundred and seventy eight votes to defeat Senator Yusuf Yusuf who polled 5 voted while David Kente scored zero.

The fresh primaries followed the nullification of the Taraba state governorship primaries by the Supreme Court Abuja on Wednesday first of February this year which ordered for a fresh primaries to be conducted within 14 days in Taraba state.

Declaring the results in Jalingo, the returning officer of the party primary and Chairman of the Electorial Committee, Rtd. Gen. Tukur Buratai said,
“Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha scored 778 votes out of the total votes of 835, while Sen. Yusuf A. Yusuf scored 5 votes, others are David Sabo Kente scored 0 vote, Eng. Sale Mammam 0 vote, Sen. George Manzo 0 vote and Kefasi 0 votes respectively”.

According to Gen. Tukur Buratai the total number of voters accredited during the primaries number 796 while total votes cast number 791, valid votes 783 while invalid votes number 8.

Gen. Buratai called on whose who lost the primary to join hands with Sen. Bwacha in forming a credibile government on Taraba state.

He described the the state gubernatorial primaries as the best since APC primary election in the state and call on aggrieved members to channel their complain to the party officials who are still in Jalingo to entertain their issue.
