A’Ibom Police receive 255 new Recruits

Akwa Ibom Commissioner of Police, Baba Azare on Wednesday in Uyo received 255 Recruit Constables newly posted to the State Command with a warning to those with contrary motives to realign.

He has also charged them to embrace the core values of integrity, transparency, and public accountability as they embark on their law enforcement careers.

Azare gave the warning when he formally welcomed the new officers after their their successful enlistment into the Nigeria Police Force and subsequent posting to the state.

The commissioner reminded them that their appointment represented a call to national duty, requiring unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property and the impartial upholding of the law.

He laid out a clear operational framework for the recruits, mandating the highest standards of discipline, professional conduct, and strict adherence to legal and ethical codes as the non-negotiable bedrock of their careers and warning that the Command would continue to maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of misconduct, corruption, and indiscipline.

He said that the era of impunity within the Force has been conclusively ended while further reinforcing the principles of the Force in respecting the fundamental human rights of all citizens as enshrined in Nigeria’s Constitution

Azare also reminded the recruits of the Inspector-General of Police’s stringent policy on the use of social media, cautioning that any misuse of digital platforms to disparage the image of the Nigeria Police Force would be met with severe disciplinary action.
