AIG Caution 3 Police Commissioners On The Fight Against Crimes

The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 10 Headquarters Sokoto, AIG Ali Aji Janga psc, mni, met with the three Commissioners of Police in the Zone, CP Adeleke Adeyinka, mni, of Kebbi State, CP Abutu Yaro, fdc, of Zamfara State and CP kola Kamaldeen, fdc, of Sokoto State where he implored the CPs to effectively supervise their Field Operatives and render them the desired motivation to yield more outstanding performances in the fight against crime in the Zone.

The AIG added that, if our security strategies are not working as envisioned, then there’s a strong need to re-evaluate them and restrategised.

This was contained in a release signed and issued to newsmen in Sokoto by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Muhammad Sadiq.

In their separate responses, the trio gave assurances of full implementation of the AIG’s recommendations and further assured of surmounting all security challenges peculiar to the Zone.

Meanwhile, The AIG had earlier today received the Zonal Commanding Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, Zone RS. 10 Headquarters Sokoto, Asst. Corps Marshal, Muhammad A. Hussain, who stated that the AIG’s records rendered him optionless than to visit, familiarise and solicit full cooperation of the AIG in the discharge of his duties.

In his response, The AIG gave assurances that the existing collaboration between Police and the Corps will be sustained and improved upon. Both meetings were witnessed by management team of the Zone, comprising DCP Alonge S. Adebowale (Ops), DCP Maxwell O. Olatokunbo (ZCID), ACP Jarumai B. Salihu (ZCID) and ACP Bawa Ibrahim (AC administration).
