Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State has restated his administration’s determination to end banditry in the state.

He gave the assurance while declaring open the 9th regular Executive Council meeting at the Government House, Sokoto. Aliyu said his administration has continued to provide security agencies with the support needed to combat banditry, which has affected parts of the state.

The governor explained that new strategies have been introduced to strengthen the fight against insecurity. He also urged citizens to support ongoing efforts to tackle criminality across Sokoto and beyond.

Aliyu directed commissioners to carry out regular inspections of projects under their ministries to ensure quality delivery. He warned contractors against substandard work or unnecessary delays, insisting that his government will not compromise standards.
