APC Youth Leader Warns of 2027 Election Risks Amid Insecurity, Hardship

By  Milcah   Tanimu

AbdulHamid Umar Mohd, the APC Youth Leader in the North West, has issued a stark warning that escalating insecurity and economic hardship could jeopardize voter mobilization, especially among young people, for the 2027 elections if immediate actions are not taken.

Speaking in Abuja, Mohd highlighted the declining trust of young Nigerians in government initiatives, exacerbated by widespread insecurity and economic challenges. He emphasized the urgent need for the APC-led administration to bolster political engagement among youth well ahead of the upcoming elections.

Mohd underscored the pivotal role played by North West youth in the success of the current government and stressed the imperative for concrete measures to address these concerns.

“Insecurity and economic hardship pose significant barriers to effective youth mobilization in 2027. To mitigate these challenges, steps must be taken such as creating more job opportunities, reducing food prices, and intensifying security efforts,” Mohd asserted.

He further urged the government to integrate more youths into its policies and programs, emphasizing their potential future leadership roles at state levels.

Expressing condolences to families affected by recent bandit attacks in Zamfara, Kaduna, and Katsina states, Mohd called for a robust response to curb insecurity and secure a safer environment for Nigerian youth.

In conclusion, the APC youth leader emphasized the urgent need for proactive measures to mitigate insecurity and economic hardships, ensuring a conducive environment for political participation and voter mobilization ahead of the 2027 elections.
