The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Olufemi Oluyede, has praised Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for improving security across the state through inclusive governance.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the governor at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House on Friday evening, ahead of the Nigerian Army Day Celebration, Oluyede noted that peace and safety had significantly improved in Kaduna since Governor Sani assumed office.
“Since you came on board, Kaduna State has been more peaceful. Areas like the Kaduna–Birnin Gwari axis and the Kaduna–Abuja Expressway, which were once unsafe, are now secure. This is largely due to your inclusive approach to governance,” he said.
He thanked the governor for his support to the Nigerian Army, especially the 1st Mechanized Division, and pledged continued collaboration in securing the state.
In response, Governor Sani commended the Nigerian Army for its role in maintaining national unity and stability.
“You have continued to make huge sacrifices to keep our country safe. Nigerians owe you a debt of gratitude,” he said.
He also reaffirmed Kaduna State Government’s commitment to supporting the Army through logistics and deeper partnerships to enhance operational efficiency and public safety.
