Army committed to boosting morale of troops-COAS

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede ihas reiterated the commitment and priority of the Nigerian Army to improving operational effectiveness and ensuring the morale and welfare of all personnel.

He has also commended frontline troops for their bravery, professionalism and dedication towards safeguarding the territorial territory of the country.

Oluyede made this known last weekend when he organized a special luncheon to honor and boost the morale if troops at the 2 Brigade Military Cantonment in Uyo

The COAS, who was represented by the Chief of Civil-Military Affairs (CCMA), Major General Gold Chibuisi, commended the troops for their unwavering dedication to duty and assured them of the continuous support of the NA leadership.

Governor Umo Eno, who was represented by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Waterways, Brigadier General Koko Essien (Rtd), ommended the troops for their dedication and sacrifices in maintaining peace in the state.

Eno said that the state government is committed to supporting security agencies in the fight against militancy, and other forms of criminality in the State.

in a welcome address, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 6 Division and Land Component Commander (LCC), Joint Task Force (JTF), South South (SS), Operation DELTA SAFE (OPDS), Major General Emmanuel Eric Emekah, said the luncheon provided an invaluable opportunity for frontline troops to engage with senior military leadership, receive encouragement, and take a well-deserved respite from their demanding duties.

Commander, 2 Brigade and Sector 4, JTF, SS OPDS, Brigadier General Alexander Tawasimi, reassured that the NA remains committed to enhancing effectiveness and ensuring a secured environment for socio-economic activities to thrive.
