At the mention of my name, bandits will run – Wike

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) says bandits will take to their heels at the mention of his name, that he will take the war to them.

He said this in Taraba State, Jalingo, while wooing delegates of PDP on Thursday; he said if he secures the ticket,he will bring down the level of insecurity in the country, otherwise the economy will not grow.

Wike in a Statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Kelvin Ebiri, said the establishment of State Police will be a good approach to addressing insecurity in Nigeria; Governor Wike explained that the beauty of establishing state Police was to ensure that people indigenous to an area were engaged in policing their environment. He added that if given the Presidential ticket to fly the party’s flag in 2023 election he will end the many troubles facing the Country.

Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku also saw the need for creation of state Police.
