The PDP presidential candidate of the just concluded presidential elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, took to twitter at 10:58 PM, 3 March, 2019 to express his concern regarding the detention of his son in law and lawyer by President Buhari’s led administration.
“My son in law and lawyer have been detained, one for 3 weeks and the other recently. They are paying the price for supporting me. I urge those now persecuting them to remember that a government’s mandate is to pursue peace and justice for all, and not just those who support them.” the presidential candidate wrote.

Whenever you elites are arrested, you indirectly run to the masses for sympathy and in real sense generate that sense of hatred. We haven't been arrested for supporting you, ask your son in law why he was arrested for there's no offence like "support @atiku"

What did he do? Crime will attract law enforcement. Tell us WHY he was arrested. This nonsense of criminals shouting 'persecution' must stop. No one is above the law.

If they have been detained for three weeks, they ought to have been brought before a court of law within a reasonable period as required by the Constitution (section 35(5)). Then we would know if they were being detained, and for what reason.
