Attack on Gov Ortom: Military Intensify Surveillance on Flash Points In Benue State

Following last Saturday’s attack on Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State by armed herders, the Military Operatives otherwise referred to as Operation Whirl Stroke said it has Intensified surveillance on flash points believed to be hide outs for criminals.

The Commander of the Operation Whirl Stroke, Major General Adeyemi Yekini made this disclosure on Tuesday while briefing Newsmen at the scene of the incident.

Yekini averred that this would help checkmate activities of militia Herders as well as other criminals terrorising the areas particularly those emanating from forests across Benue State where they unleash mayhem on innocent people.

According to the Commander, troops of the OWS have already been deployed to the scene of the attack, stressing that areas considered to be security flash points are currently being combed.
