Ayra Starr Dazzles on The Tonight Show with Performance of ‘Last Heartbreak Song’

Nigerian international singer Ayra Starr captivated audiences with her performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Known for her role in the global rise of Afrobeats, Ayra Starr continues to establish herself as one of the fastest-rising stars in the music world.

On July 24, 2024, Ayra Starr made her debut on the popular late-night show, performing her hit single “Last Heartbreak Song” featuring American RnB sensation Giveon. She also delivered a powerful rendition of “Woman Commando,” her exciting collaboration with American singer Coco Jones and Brazilian star Anitta. Both tracks are featured on her critically acclaimed sophomore album, “The Year I Turned 21,” which includes guest appearances from Nigerian hitmakers Asake and Seyi Vibez.

Ayra Starr’s performance on The Tonight Show places her among a select group of Nigerian artists, including Wizkid, Tems, CKay, Burna Boy, Asake, and Rema, who have graced the stage of the renowned American TV show.

Since her debut with the self-titled EP in 2021, Ayra Starr has been a sensation, winning the hearts of millions with her captivating melodies and versatility. Her debut album “19 & Dangerous” featured the hit song “Rush,” which earned several accolades, including diamond certification in France, the highest-viewed music video by a Nigerian female artist, and a Grammy nomination for Best African Song Performance.

Ayra Starr’s global rise is further marked by performances at notable festivals, including a recent appearance at the Glastonbury Festival, where she shared the stage with Chris Martin of Coldplay. She also earned three nominations at the 2024 BET Awards for Best New Artist, Best African Act, and Best HER for her single “Comma.”
