Bandits Kidnap Zamfara Village Head and Imam, Demand N5 Million Ransom

Bandits have abducted the village head of Rakyabu village, Magaji Sa’idu, and the Chief Imam, Malam Abdullahi, in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The incident occurred on Sunday night, with the bandits demanding a N5 million ransom. The community managed to raise N500,000, but the bandits refused to release the captives, insisting on the remaining balance. Lamenting their situation, the community appealed for help, stating that they have nothing left to sell to raise the additional funds. They urged authorities to intervene and rescue the abducted village head and Chief Imam.
