Bandits Kill 3, Abduct 30 in Kaduna Church Attack

Bandits attacked two churches in Kaduna’s Kajuru local government area, resulting in the deaths of three people and the abduction of 30 others, including a pastor. The attack occurred on Sunday, September 15, during church services at the ECWA and Catholic Churches. Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants, armed and numerous, targeted the congregations, causing widespread panic and devastation.

Former Kajuru LGA chairman Cafra Caino confirmed the incident, noting that among those abducted was Pastor Bernard Gajera. Kaduna state police spokesperson ASP Mansir Hassan confirmed the fatalities and indicated that the exact number of abductees is still being verified. Authorities have launched a manhunt in collaboration with other agencies to apprehend the bandits and ensure the safe return of the kidnapped individuals.
