Bello’s ADC invades Kogi NUJ With thugs, Policemen.

Governor Yahaya Bello’s Aide De Camp , DSP Shugaba Usman stormed the secreteriat of Kogi State Nigeria Union of Journalists, Lokoja with armed thugs, policemen, claiming to be in search of people thump printing ballot papers at the press Centre.

The ADC who arrived at NUJ Press Centre at Lord Luggard street in the capital city, lokoja in twelve hilux vehicles with stern looking masked thugs and policemen said they have information that ballot papers and boxes are been thump printed at the centre by some people.

The ADC and his men ransacked the NUJ premises, found nothing incriminating at the centre and left with a promise to continue in their search.

As at the time of the invasion of the NUJ premise by the police, all working journalists were on the field for election duty, but the fierce looking thugs met only the operators of the bar and those working at the press centre.

However, the leadership of the NUJ has condemned in strong terms the invasion of the press Centre, saying that the union will issue statement shortly.
