Bizarre: Man, 52 allegedly defiles 11-year-old boy in Kaduna

..Accuse granted N500.000 bail

A 52-year old civil servant, Mohammed Lawal Ahmed is in court for allegedly defiling an 11-year-old boy, Abdul..(real name withheld).

The suspect was said to have perpetrated the act on December 14, at about 0900hrs by enticing the minor with stipends and sweets to his house and repeatedly inserted his finger into the boy’s anus.

The bubble busted, according to a copy of statement sent to the Magistrate Court 8, Kawo, Kaduna, by Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, when the mother of the boy discovered the unholy act between the man and her son and subsequently raised the alarm which led to his arrest.

According to document, the suspect carried out the act at his house located at number CU2, Ikara road, Sabon-Gari, Tudun-wada, Kaduna South local government area of the state on the said date.

The Court however granted him N500,000 bail with a level 15 civil servant surety who must reside within Kaduna and adjourned the case to January 16 for hearing.

Meanwhile, Commissioner, Kaduna State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Hafsat Baba frown at the development saying, the law must take its course.

According to her, “it is unfortunate that a man, who has his wife and children could do such a thing to other people’s children. He had finesse to have perpetrated the act and the matter is now before a magistrate court.

“As it is, the court will decide his fate but, the ministry will follow it up to its logical conclusion. All forms of indecent treatment and gross indecency against our children in Kaduna must stop especially now that we have laws in place to bring anyone caught perpetrating any violence against children in the state to book.
“Our people, especially parents must know that, the administration of Governor Nasir El-Rufai has zero tolerance for violence against children. They should not keep quiet.

“People should speak out whenever anyone commit any form of atrocity against children whether theirs or others. This is a collective responsibility.

“On our part as a ministry, we will continue to do our best to get justice for abused children and ensure perpetrators don’t go scot free. We have already took the boy to the hospital for treatment. This maltreatment of children in Kaduna state must stop”, the commissioner stressed.
