The Borno State Deputy Governor, Umar Usman Kadafur,has paid a congratulatory visit to the General Officer Commanding,GOC, 7 Div. Nigeria Army, Major General Abdulmalik Bulama Biu, over his recent accelarated promotion from Brigadier General to Major General and subsequent confirmation as substantive GOC 7 Division,Maimalari cantonment Maiduguri.
He said the promotion did not come as a surprise to the people of the state considering his commitment and passion in the fight against the insurgency not only in the state but the northeast and urged him to continue to do more, now that, he has been elevated to substantive GOC 7 Division and prayed God to give him the wisdom to discharge his duties efficiently.
Alhaji Uumar USMAN Kadafur expressed the hope that with the renewed vigor and determination from both the military and the state government the fight against the insurgency will come to an end, stressing that to whom much is given much is also expected.
The GOC 7 Division Major General Abdulmalik Bulama Biu,thanked the Borno State Government for congratulating him over his well deserved promotion and all the support and assistance the state government has been providing to the Division to achieve its mission in the fight against insurgency in the state.
And assured the state government of their unrelenting effort to rid the state of the menace of insurgency, stressing that the 7 Division is prepared more than ever before to work closely with the state government to ensure total return of peace in the state and restore its past glory.
