The Nigerian Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Borno State council has joined its National Body in a Special Prayer session for God’s intervention to bring to an end, the lingering security challenge bedeviling the nation.
The Women Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, and Federation of Muslim Women of Nigeria, FOMWAN, among other women groups in Borno State, cried out for God’s mercy and healing upon Nigeria amidst the incessant killings.
Commissioner Women Affairs, Zuwaira Gambo, that of Animal and Fisheries Development, Comrade Juliana Bitrus, respectively appreciated NAWOJ for the Solemn Assembly as God has a special empathy for women saying the wailing will not go un-answered.
Also, NAWOJ Chairperson, Hadiza Bukar, conveyed the message of the National President, Ladi Bala, urged mothers not to relent in prayers until God answered and restored peace in Nigeria.
The women journalists who are all in red attire, signifying NO to blood shed carrying placards with different inscription crying for calmness and peace in Nigeria.
NAWOJ Borno used the occasion to express their unalloyed believe and trust in God hopping that His mercy will prevail over the land and bring to an end the incessant unrest in Nigeria.
