BOSG Sets Up High Powered Committee On Biometric Data Capture For Secondary Teachers


The Borno State government has inaugurated a high powered committee on biometric data capture and verification of secondary school teachers across the state.

The Deputy Governor, Alh.Umar Usman kadafur, who presided over  the ceremony, said the exercise will determine specific areas that may require special intervention in the education system with a view to improve the quality of secondary school teaching staff.

The ceremony which took place at the government house multi-purpose hall, maiduguri, with the Deputy Governor mandating the committee to appraise the academic qualifications and other relevant credentials of teachers and any other matter the committee may deem relevant to its terms of reference.

He said the committee members were selected based on their track record of experience, therefore, urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them and gave them three months within which to complete the assignment as scheduled.

Responding on behalf of the members of the high powered committee, the chairman Professor Suleiman Bello, commended the state government for its efforts in reforming the educational sector and promised to carry out the assignment as directed.
