Bovi expresses disappointment over never winning an AMVCA despite 7 career nominations

Bovi Ugboma Voices Disappointment Despite Seven AMVCA Nominations

Nigerian comedian and actor, Bovi Ugboma, expressed his disappointment at never winning an Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) despite receiving seven nominations throughout his career.

Following the recently concluded AMVCA10 at Eko Hotels on Saturday, May 11, where Bovi was present, he took to his Instagram page to share his sentiments about never winning an AMVCA.

Reflecting on his career, Bovi noted that he has received a total of seven nominations since the inception of the awards, with four individual nominations. Despite his hopes of winning at least ten awards by now, he hasn’t won any.

In his Instagram post, Bovi wrote: “#amvca10 All my nominations since inception -7 Individual nominations- 4 Wins- 0 Expected wins before #amvca20 – 10 Congrats to all the winners from last night. Very deserving.”

Despite his disappointment, Bovi’s fans and colleagues rallied around him in the comments section, offering words of encouragement and support.

Sandra congratulated him on his nominations, emphasizing that a win is a win regardless.

iamdavid_jo reminded Bovi that he’s already a winner in the eyes of many and urged him not to let awards validate his success.

otega_prudence assured Bovi that his time to win will come, emphasizing that delay doesn’t equate to denial.

irenejob reaffirmed Bovi’s status as a winner, both to her and the world, complimenting his sharp appearance.
