BREAKING: Buhari presides over 11th virtual FEC

President Muhammadu Buhari is presiding over the 11th virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the State House in Abuja.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha and Chief of Staff to the President Ibrahim Gambari are also physically attending the meeting.

Those physically present at the Council Chambers are Ministers of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed; Finance, Budget and National Planning Zainab Ahmed; Health Dr Osagie Ehanire; Environment Muhammad Mahmood; Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami; Mines and Steel Development, Olamilekan Adegbite and Minister of State for Health, Olorunmibe Mamora.

Other Ministers are participating in the weekly cabinet meeting from their various offices in Abuja.

Immediately after the National Anthem, the meeting observed a minute silence in honour of Rear Admiral Olufemi Olumide and Major General Sam Momah, former members of the Federal Executive Council, who passed on.

Olumide, who died on 6th August at 82, served as Transport Minister during the General Yakubu Gowon regime and Minister of Works and Housing during the late General Murtala Mohammed regime.

Sam Momah died on July 29 at 77. He was Minister of Science and Technology during the late General Sani Abacha regime.
