BREAKING: EFCC release KASUPDA Boss in Kaduna

By Gabriel Udeh, Kaduna

Less than five hours after he was arrested from his office in Kaduna, the EFCC has released on bail, the kaduna State Urban Planning Development Agency, KASUPDA, boss Samaila Umar Dikko.

It remains unclear why the EFCC arrested Mr. Dikko and release him few hours later but sources said that so many petitions were submitted against the KASUPDA boss.

But as at the time of filling this report none of such allegations are said to be weighty enough to warrant his continued detention.

But other unverified sources alleged that the EFCC has been under intense pressure from Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, hence the early release of Dikko.

Mr. Dikko it was also reported, has brought about so much innovation in the conduct of the Agency and that it is under his watch that KASUPDA became an important revenue generating agency with higher returns for the Kaduna State Government.

So far, there is no official statement from either KASUPDA or the KDSG about Monday’s arrest of Mr. Dikko and his eventual release.
