BREAKING: Four-year-old boy dies in Abuja school, parents suspect foul play

In a tragic incident at BrickHall Schools in Abuja’s Cadastral Zone B11, Kaura, four-year-old pupil Miguel Ovoke passed away during the school’s feeding hours, sparking suspicions of foul play among his parents.

According to a death certificate issued by Excel Specialist Hospital, Abuja, dated April 24, 2024, young Ovoke was brought to the hospital by his teachers in an unconscious state around 11 am. The medical report, signed by Dr. Akinwande Ajayi, revealed that the boy experienced aspiration on meat while feeding at school.

Upon examination, medical professionals noted concerning signs such as fixed and dilated pupils, nonreactive response to light, impalpable peripheral pulses, unrecordable blood pressure, and no cardiopulmonary activity or respiratory excursions.

Despite efforts to resuscitate him, Ovoke was declared “Brought in Dead.”

Suspecting foul play, the parents of the deceased have enlisted the services of lawyer Deji Adeyanju to handle the case. Adeyanju confirmed this development.

Efforts to obtain a response from the school authorities have been unsuccessful. The school has yet to reply to an email sent to its known email address.
