BREAKING: Kingmakers Select Olakulehin as Next Olubadan

The Olubadan-In-Council has chosen Oba Owolabi Olakulehin as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The press reports that the position became vacant on March 14, 2024, following the passing of Oba Lekan Balogun, who reigned for two years and passed away at the age of 81.

The council reached a consensus on Oba Olakulehin’s appointment during a meeting convened by the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Rashidi Ladoja, in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

Oba Olakulehin was nominated by the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Gbadamosi Adebimpe.

His nomination will now be sent to the state governor, Seyi Makinde, for approval.
