BREAKING: Senate asks President Buhari to declare State of Emergency on security

The Senate at Wednesday’s plenary urged President Buhari to declare a state of emergency on insecurity in the country.

This was the outcome of a point of order moved by Senator Sani Musa representing Niger East, on the Kidnap of school Children from Government Science Secondary school , Kagara , Niger State .

According to the lawmaker, unknown gunmen stormed the school premises in the early hours of the morning, killing security guards on duty and whisking away the students.

The exact number of school children kidnapped is yet to be ascertained.

While reacting to the motion  moved by his colleague , Senator Bima also representing Niger south was furious about the worsening insecurity and said the government is incompetent in handling the Security situation of the country
