BREAKING: Sowore Shot During Protest In Abuja

Policemen in Abuja have opened fire on human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore during a protest in Abuja, to demand an end to insecurity in the country.

Sowore was shot in the right side of the stomach towards the hip by policemen drafted to the Unity Fountain.

The police who had already been stationed at the fountain before the arrival of the activist and other protesters opened fire on the unarmed protesters.

Many people also sustained varying degrees of injury during the incident.
