By Abba Kabara

Hoodlums suspected to be kidnappers have at today’s morning break, stormed Jabaka community of Maru local government area of Zamfara state, killing a 25 year old woman, malama A’isha Bello, and afflicting a severe wound to a 75 year old woman known as Tagoggo.

One of the community members, a relation to Malama Tagoggo who spoke on condition of anonymity for personal security, narrates that the bandits stormed the community targeting one former accountant as their pray.

The source said the bandits who stormed the community at about 1:30am, broke into the house of one Mallam Na’ibi and forced him at gun point to lead them to the residence a former accountant (name withheld) who retired some years ago.

The noise from the physical struggle between the bandits and Na’ibi, awoke the old Tagoggo from her sleep who, in an attempted to intervene, the hoodlums hit her hard on the head with an AK47 as she slammed unconscious on the floor.

The growing noise, according to our source, also awoke a lady Malama A’ishatu from sleep who, seeing the situation, broke into shouting.

The bandits shot down the lady who instantly died on the spot, as they immediately escaped without taking any property or money.

The deceased was buried this morning according to Islamic rites.

The police spokesman SP Shehu Muhammed who was contacted for details, said the command is not aware of the incidence but will however, make an enquiry to ascertain the actual position.
