BUA Cement plc Gives Back To Host Communities

BUA Cement plc in its Corporate services donated medicines to host Communities in Wamakko local government where the plants are situated.

“Giving back to our communities is of Paramount importance to us. We are dedicated and committed to giving back to our host communities to add value to our common relationship which is mutually beneficial”, averred the Managing Director/CEO Engr Yusuf H. Binji during the formal distribution of the medicines.

Binji further said they appreciate the enormous and genuine support and cooperation their communities and the state have given them over the years.

He thanked the government of Sokoto state under the leadership of governor Ahmad Aliyu for support and unrelenting advice they have been receiving adding that BUA cement will continue to complement the efforts of the state government in improving the lives of host communities.

The Managing Director who was represented by the Director Administration and Corporate Services Sada Sulaiman said they will soon commission 7 solar boreholes that are completed across the state in addition to providing full school uniforms to pupils in 5 Primary schools within the hist communities.

The council Chairman of Wamakko local government Umar Ahmad Dundaye in his remarks commended BUA for donating millions of naira worth of drugs to host communities and challenged other companise within the locality to emulate BUA cement plc.

Dundaye who was represented by Director Health Umar Sani Tureta added that the medines in form of paracetamol, unigyl,emgyl, marita injection, vitamin c syrup nemoxil among many would be utilized accordingly.

Speakers after speakers all commended the cement company for the efforts praying the next distribution would be expanded.

At the initial launching of distribution, only 8 communities were benefitting but was presently expanded to 18.
