On arrival the team paid a courtesy visit to Sultan Saad Abubakar 111 before proceeding to Giginya Stadium for the campaign rally.
At the venue,President Muhammad Buhari president Buhari presented Tinubu as the APC presidential candidate.
He confirmed knowledge of the menace activities of bandits,kidnappers and other terrorism activities and assured the people of deadline for all the attrocities.
While symphatising with the people of Sokoto over great loses,President Buhari presented the “gentle” Tinubu as the presidential candidate.
Also at the ceremony,Solomon Lalong said they are not in Sokoto for campaign but to thank their supporters for the teeming support accorded them during their short campaign visit to the state.
Senator Wamakko in his welcome address announced that the deputy governor Manir Dan’iya,Commissioners and one of the PDP chieftain in the state Ummarun Kwabo AA dumped PDP to APC all for the examplary leadership exhibited.
He then handed over 167 high ranking defected individuals to the national party chairman.
Governorship candidate Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto while explaining his eight point agenda assured the gathering that leadership of the party will do it can to actualise promises made during campaigns.
He added that APC in Sokoto is not a one man’s party but a party for the masses.
“PDP failed in many ways to carter for its people more particularly on health,water and other social amenities, we therefore solicite for your votes to eject the ruling government”, said Ahmad Aliyu.
Speakers after speakers all assured the members of governance saying APC contains eligible and promising leaders who are after the wellbeing of masses irrespective of tradition,culture,religion or political backgrounds.
Speaking for decampees,Ummarun Kwabo AA said they will not allow political sentiments to overrule them and assured Buhari they are ready to fight for APC to end of general elections.
He similarly stated that in the remaiming days,PDP will be buried along with its history.
