BBNaija’s Kassia Gives Husband the Cold Shoulder After Argument

    By  Milcah   Tanimu

In the ongoing BBNaija season, secretly married housemates Kassia and Kelly are facing tensions in their relationship. The latest drama unfolded on August 20, 2024, following an argument between the couple.

The conflict began when Kelly confronted Kassia in one of the house’s rooms. He accused her of touching fellow housemate Fairne inappropriately earlier in the day. Kelly expressed his frustration, saying, “You got angry with me and walked out for real. How am I supposed to know? Listen to me, you’re a wife and a lady. Whether or not you touched his nipples is the conflict, I am not saying that you touched his nipples. The guy said, ‘Kassia, you are touching my nipple.’”

The argument escalated when Kelly questioned whether Kassia was truly listening to him or just preparing her response. Kassia responded by stopping her communication with Kelly, which prompted him to later approach her to apologize and ask her not to stay upset.

In his attempt to mend things, Kelly said, “God knows that I am surprised that you’re angry if I said too much, no vex. That’s the reason I came because I noticed that you were angry. I came to tell not to be angry, don’t forget why we’re here and don’t forget who you are.”

Despite his efforts, Kassia decided to distance herself from Kelly and declared that she would no longer interact with male housemates. Kelly continued to check on her, asking if she felt better, but Kassia remained silent.

Stay tuned for more updates on the BBNaija housemates and their evolving dynamics.

  • Rhuthee Opens Up About BBNaija Experience: “I Had to Stand Up to the Twins”

Rhuthee Opens Up About BBNaija Experience: “I Had to Stand Up to the Twins”

    By   Milcah   Tanimu

Ruth Akpan, known as Rhuthee from the Floruish duo on BBNaija season 9, has shared her perspective on her time in the house following her eviction on August 18, 2024. In an interview with Pulse Nigeria, Rhuthee addressed the dynamics between her and the twin housemates, Wanni and Handi, revealing the challenges she faced.

Rhuthee expressed that, during her stay, the twins were rarely confronted, which led her to step up and challenge them. She noted, “No one could stand up to the twins, so I did,” emphasizing that her confrontations were driven by a need to address issues that others were avoiding.

The twins, Wanni and Handi, were known for their contentious interactions with Rhuthee. She mentioned that the house was rife with conflict and described the twins as major instigators. “Yes, 70% of what I said during the arguments was true,” she affirmed, defending her side of the disputes.

Reflecting on her experience, Rhuthee revealed that she expected the negative reactions from the twins. “I was expecting it. I mean, what do you expect from classless people?” she said, showing no regret for her actions.

Rhuthee also shared that she was mindful of her partner’s feelings throughout the competition. “Yes, I did consider her. If you tell me something, I react the way I perceive it in the moment,” she explained. Her partner, known for her calm demeanor, often advised her to stay composed to avoid being used against her.

Regarding her nominations, Rhuthee cited her decision to nominate the Chekas pair, citing irritation with their behavior. “One thing Chizoba did was, anytime you wanted to have a conversation with her, she looked around for cameras,” she noted.

On her relationship with Mayor Frosh of the Streeze pair, Rhuthee described him as a “friend” and expressed openness towards his interest in other housemates. “If you still want to go for Nelly, that’s cool. I told him that if there’s somebody you like in the house, you could steal some kisses,” she said, showing a relaxed attitude towards their dynamic.

If given another chance, Rhuthee said she would be more authentic. “I compromised a lot because of my partner. If I went to the house alone, I’m sure the internet would have been buzzing every two weeks,” she admitted.

Concluding her interview, Rhuthee expressed her support for the Zinwe and DoubleKay pairs as potential winners of the show.

  • Nelita Wins ‘BBNaija’ Head of House for Second Consecutive Week

Nelita Wins ‘BBNaija’ Head of House for Second Consecutive Week

    By Milcah Tanimu

On August 19, 2024, the Nelita pair, consisting of Nnena Mbonu and Anita Ukah, triumphed once again in the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Head of House (HOH) Challenge, marking their second consecutive week as HOH. Their victory this week also came with the significant benefit of immunity from the next Sunday’s eviction.

The pair had previously won the HOH challenge on August 12, 2024, leading the house for a week. This week, despite changes in the selection process, including the cancellation of the ballot system and custodian challenge, Nelita excelled in a two-round task held on Monday, August 19. They completed the task in record time, securing their position as HOH once more.

In a notable change from previous weeks, the HOH challenge now includes immunity, providing winners with protection from eviction. As part of their new role, Nelita had the privilege of choosing a pair to share the HOH lounge. They selected Sooj and Topher of the Aces as their special guests. While Sooj and Topher will enjoy the benefits of the HOH lounge, they are not permitted to bring any of these benefits back to the main house.

The housemates also conducted their first live nominations. The Zinwe pair nominated Chekas and Wanni x Handi, while other pairs made various nominations, leading to a dynamic and strategic week ahead. In the previous week, the Nelita pair had chosen Onyeka and Chizoba of the Chekas pair to share the HOH lounge, a decision that stirred discussions among fans and housemates who had anticipated a choice of Aces.

Nelita Takes Over as Head of House for Week 3 in BBNaija

    By Milcah Tanimu

In a dramatic turn of events, Nelita, the dynamic duo of Nelly and Anita, has been appointed as the Heads of House for Week 3 of the BBNaija show. Their victory came during the Head of House challenge held on August 12, 2024, where they secured the position through a ballot vote from their fellow housemates, including Aces, Wanni x Handi, Streeze, Beta, Chekas, Double Kay, Shatoria, and the Mbadiwe Twins.

Nelita clinched the role with eight out of twelve votes, outshining the competition and taking over from the recently evicted Ndi Nne pair, Chinne and Nne. As Heads of House, Nelita will steer the house’s direction for the week, making crucial decisions and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities.

In a surprising move, Nelita chose the Chekas pair, Onyeka and Chizoba, as their Head of House guests, rather than selecting their in-house romantic interest, Aces. This choice has sparked curiosity and speculation among the housemates.

The Nelita pair now faces the challenge of managing the house dynamics, addressing the brewing tensions among housemates, and upholding their responsibilities while navigating the complexities of their new role. Despite the privileges that come with being Head of House, Nelita will remain subject to the eviction process, maintaining the competitive edge of the show.

The Chekas pair will also enjoy the benefits of the Head of House lounge during their tenure.

Emotions Run High as Toyosi Seeks Space from Damilola After BBNaija Eviction

    By Milcah Tanimu

In a poignant moment following their eviction from Big Brother Naija, Toyosi has expressed her desire for space from her teammate Damilola. The revelation came during the team’s post-eviction interview with media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

When asked about their future living arrangements, Damilola responded affirmatively, indicating she wished to continue living with Toyosi. However, Toyosi’s response took a more emotional turn. “I love you so much but I feel like there has been a lot of tension,” she said. “She has been blaming herself too much, and I want her to think without me being there.”

Toyosi elaborated that Damilola’s self-blame over their eviction was affecting her deeply. “When you see me, you keep blaming yourself, and it makes me very sad,” Toyosi explained.

Ebuka then sought Damilola’s reaction to Toyosi’s request for space, prompting a stunned response from Damilola: “I’m too stunned to speak.”

Sensing the emotional strain, Ebuka advised both to engage in open dialogue to address their feelings. “You haven’t expressed how you feel. Sit down and have a conversation,” he urged.

As the discussion unfolded, Toyosi was overcome with tears, followed shortly by Damilola, highlighting the depth of their emotions. Ebuka concluded with a reminder of their long-standing friendship. “If you’ve been friends for seven years, you should know how to communicate with each other. A week in the house shouldn’t damage a seven-year friendship,” he said.

The emotional exchange underscores the challenges faced by the housemates and the importance of clear communication in navigating their friendship post-eviction.

“Streeze Duo Triumphs in Custodian Challenge, Secures Immunity in ‘BBNaija: No Loose Guard’”

    By   Milcah   Tanimu

In a thrilling turn of events on the “Big Brother Naija: No Loose Guard” show, the Streeze duo, consisting of Mayor Frosh and Toby Forge, clinched victory in the second Custodian Challenge. Their win not only earns them immunity from eviction this week but also ensures their place in the house for at least another week.

The challenge, named “Fetch and Nuts,” required each pair to navigate a unique task involving a fishing rod with a magnet and a blindfold. While one partner was blindfolded and used the rod to retrieve items, the other partner provided verbal guidance. Streeze excelled in this task, demonstrating both teamwork and strategy.

Their success comes at a pivotal moment, as they had been previously nominated for eviction. They were saved by the housemates during the nomination process, while the Tami pair faced elimination, reducing the remaining pairs to three, including Streeze.

The victory also grants Streeze the influential power to affect the upcoming week’s eviction, adding a new layer of strategic play to their game. Meanwhile, the Beta pair, Ben and Tjay, expressed their disappointment over their loss in the Custodian Challenge, highlighting the growing tensions within the house.

As the Ndi Nne duo, the previous Custodians, formally handed over their authority, Streeze assumes their role, marking a new chapter in the competition.

MultiChoice Announces Prize and Package for BBNaija Season 9 Winner

MultiChoice Nigeria has unveiled that the winner of the 2024 Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV show will receive a grand prize of ₦100 million. The announcement was made during a press briefing in Lagos on Tuesday.

  • Tinubu Set to Receive Q1 Assessment Report on Ministers

Tinubu Set to Receive Q1 Assessment Report on Ministers

President Bola Tinubu is anticipated to receive a comprehensive report evaluating the performance of Federal Government ministries, departments, and agencies during the first quarter of 2024.

Sources within the Presidency disclosed that the report will serve as the foundation for President Tinubu’s appraisal of his ministers.

An anonymous source familiar with the matter revealed, “An interim report on ministerial performance has been submitted to the President, with the Q1 report currently in preparation.”

Dispelling rumors of imminent ministerial changes, another senior official asserted, “Speculations about ministerial reshuffling are unfounded. If there were any, we would have been informed by now, considering May 29 is approaching.”

Earlier statements by Mrs. Hadiza Bala-Usman, the President’s Special Adviser on Policy Coordination, outlined the collaborative effort involving ministers, citizens, and industry experts in generating the Q1 assessment report. She emphasized the importance of public feedback through platforms like the Citizens Delivery Tracker app.

However, the exact timeline for transmitting the Q1 report to the President remains unconfirmed, as efforts to reach the Central Delivery Coordination Unit (CDCU) were unsuccessful.

President Tinubu had previously emphasized the importance of performance in his administration, indicating that quarterly reviews would determine ministerial retention.

In preparation for the assessments, the CDCU trained over 140 officials from various ministries to track and evaluate performance based on predefined deliverables and key performance indicators (KPIs).

The Citizens’ Delivery Tracker, launched in April, aims to foster accountability by monitoring over 200 deliverables across government agencies, reflecting the administration’s priorities from economic stability to national security.

Each ministry has been assigned specific targets, such as increasing tax revenue and enhancing national security, with corresponding KPIs to measure progress.

These parameters, developed through extensive consultations, will guide quarterly assessments and annual scorecards presented to the President by the CDCU, ensuring accountability and performance-driven governance.

“Whitemoney Supports Mercy’s Bid for Victory in #BBNaija All Stars”

    By  Milcah  Tanimu

Recently evicted BBNaija All Stars housemate, Whitemoney (Hazel Oyeze Onou), has expressed his support for his in-house companion, Mercy Eke, also known as Lambo, as a potential winner in the ongoing All-Star edition of the reality show. Despite Mercy’s previous victory in the “Pepper Dem” season four edition, Whitemoney believes she deserves to clinch the winning title once again.

In an interview with media personality Hero Daniels, Whitemoney defended both himself and Mercy against criticism for participating in the All-Star edition after winning previous seasons. Using a sports analogy to illustrate his perspective, the 31-year-old singer emphasized the importance of continuous competition.

Whitemoney stated, “If you play a championship cup and win, you’d go home the next season and say don’t wanna play again? No! You have to keep winning.”

He further expressed his belief that Mercy deserves to win and highlighted the positive impact it would have on her profile, prestige, and overall aspirations. Whitemoney concluded by saying, “So, if she wins it again, that would be very nice. No cap.”
