Kenyan woman Helen, who claims to have a child with popular socialite Cubana Chief Priest, has once again taken to social media to demand a DNA test, vowing to bring the child to Nigeria if he refuses to comply.

Helen has been in the news for weeks, insisting that Cubana Chief Priest is the biological father of her son. While the businessman has denied the allegations, she remains adamant about proving her claim through a paternity test.

In her latest post, Helen declared that she will not stop until the truth is revealed. She warned that if Cubana Chief Priest continues to ignore her, she will personally drop the child at his doorstep.

    She wrote:
“Nothing will stop me from asking you for the DNA. If you don’t agree, I am not playing this time—I will drop this boy at your doorstep.

You think Lagos is far from Kenya, right? It’s just a five-hour flight to Nigeria, and I promise you’ll be surprised when your son gets there.

Don’t think you will see me if that’s what you want. Let me just give you back your blood—I don’t care what you do with him.

Helen’s persistent call for a paternity test has continued to stir reactions online, with many awaiting Cubana Chief Priest’s next move.

A Lagos Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba, has acquitted popular musician Abdulazeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, of any involvement in the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly called MohBad.

According to Channels TV, Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, while delivering the ruling on Tuesday, upheld the legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), which stated that Naira Marley had no case to answer.

Also cleared by the court were music promoter Samson Balogun (Sam Larry), Owodunni Ibrahim (Primeboy), and MohBad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde.

However, the DPP recommended the prosecution of the auxiliary nurse who treated MohBad, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, along with one of the late singer’s friends, Ayobami Sadiq. They will face trial for reckless and negligent acts, contrary to Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The duo will be arraigned before the magistrate court in the coming proceedings.

Omowunmi Insists Aloba Knows Liam Is Mohbad’s Son, Agrees to DNA Test for Public Clarity

    By Abigail Philip David

Omowunmi, the wife of the late singer Mohbad, has stated that her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, is fully aware that Liam, her son with Mohbad, is indeed his grandchild.

In an interview with BBC Pidgin, which began trending on Monday, Omowunmi affirmed that Aloba is “100% sure” of Liam’s paternity. She explained that her decision to undergo a DNA test was to dispel misinformation in the media rather than to prove anything to him.

“I want to do the DNA test for the media that has been fed with lies, not my father-in-law. Because left to me, he is 101% sure that the child is Mohbad’s son,” she stated.

Reflecting on her grief, Omowunmi shared how deeply she misses her late husband, particularly after their son recently started school—a moment that heightened her sense of loss.

“I miss my husband with everything. My child started school, and when they wrote his name as ‘Mr. and Mrs. Aloba’s son,’ it brought back all the memories. I remember him from every angle of my life,” she said.

Last week, she also opened up about her love story with Mohbad, revealing that they first connected on the social networking platform 2go when she was 13 and he was 15.

Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was buried the following day. However, his body was exhumed on September 21 for an autopsy.

Joseph Aloba has insisted that Mohbad will not be reburied until a DNA test confirms Liam’s paternity. Meanwhile, Mohbad’s mother, Abosede, has accused Aloba of intentionally delaying the test.

After much anticipation, Shallipopi released his first single of 2025, ‘Laho,’ on February 21. The song quickly went viral on TikTok following a teaser on his social media. However, just a day after its release, ‘Laho’ was unexpectedly removed from Spotify, leaving fans disappointed. The streaming platform, which paid Nigerian artists over ₦23 billion in 2023, is a key platform for the rapper’s music.

Hours later, ‘Laho’ was restored on Spotify, though Shallipopi has not disclosed the reason for its removal. By Abigail Philip David

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, was arraigned on Thursday at the Isabo High Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

His court appearance follows his surrender to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba on Wednesday after being declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command.

The charges against Portable stem from a February 5, 2025, incident in which he allegedly led an attack on officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development. The officials were carrying out an enforcement exercise at his bar in the Sango Ota area when they were assaulted, sustaining injuries. While nine of Portable’s associates were arrested at the time, the singer evaded capture until his recent surrender.

Born on March 12, 1994, in Abeokuta, Portable rose to fame in 2021 with his hit single ZaZoo Zehh, featuring Olamide and Poco Lee. His career has been marked by numerous controversies, including public feuds and allegations of violent behavior.

Wunmi Criticizes Father-in-Law Over Delay in Mohbad’s Burial

Wunmi Aloba, the widow of late singer Mohbad, has expressed frustration over the continued delay in her husband’s burial, accusing her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, of unnecessarily prolonging the process.

In an emotional interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Wunmi revealed that the extended embalmment of Mohbad’s body has been heartbreaking. She criticized his father for allegedly obstructing the burial despite public calls for closure.

“It still feels like he is alive because he is in Yaba morgue. It’s heartbreaking that he hasn’t been buried and has been cut twice. There’s no valid reason for the delay, but my father-in-law keeps manipulating the public,” she said.

Wunmi also spoke about Mohbad’s deep love for their son, Liam, sharing that the singer had tattooed his son’s name even before his birth.

“If the dead could see, my husband would cry gallons of tears… He loved Liam so much that he tattooed his name before he was even born. Liam was his source of happiness. If you wanted to see his best side, just carry Liam,” she recalled.

She expressed disbelief that Mohbad’s father, whom the late singer loved and respected, would be the one preventing his burial.

Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, died under controversial circumstances in September 2023, sparking public outcry and demands for justice. However, with his body still unburied nearly two years later, tensions between Wunmi and her father-in-law continue to escalate.
