Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has lashed out at supporters of Judy Austin, accusing them of endorsing inappropriate actions. Edochie, who has been openly critical of Austin since her marriage to Yul Edochie, labeled her supporters as “birds of the same feathers,” linking them to polygamous backgrounds and the “husband snatcher” label.

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has expressed regret over her involvement in advocating for the exhumation of late Nigerian singer Mohbad’s body following his controversial death. Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, under mysterious circumstances, and was buried the following day. His body was exhumed for an autopsy by the Lagos state police on September 21, 2023.

However, after the autopsy, Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, demanded that his son’s body not be reburied until a DNA test is conducted on Mohbad’s son, Liam. This request has led to further delays in the singer’s burial and added to the ongoing family disputes.

In a conversation with her colleague Biola Adebayo on the *Talk to B* YouTube podcast, Iyabo Ojo shared her regret, stating that she would not have pushed for Mohbad’s exhumation had she known it would lead to the complications and delays that followed.

“I wouldn’t have requested that Mohbad be exhumed if I knew his case would turn out this way,” she admitted. “He hasn’t been buried till now. His dad says he wants a DNA test done, and I heard the court has granted his request. But I heard his dad has conditions again.”

Ojo explained that her primary intention was to ensure the singer’s cause of death was properly investigated, which led to her call for the exhumation. “I just wanted Mohbad’s body exhumed so they could do the autopsy to find out the cause of his death,” she said. “I did my best to be sure that everyone was investigated, but when they came up with different theories, DNA became more important to them.”

Mark also revealed how he sought therapy to recover from the trauma, only to face another setback—a scandal that rocked his career and exposed disloyalty within his circle. Despite the pain, he found solace in faith, family, and close friends, who supported him through the storm.

“God sent angels into my life when I needed them the most,” he shared. “Blessing, my friend who became family, never gave up on me. My pastor and his wife prayed and guided me. My daughters, Victoria and Mila, reminded me of life’s beauty. My ex-wife Mandy extended a hand of kindness I will never forget. My son, Schoolboy, showed me strength beyond his years. And Bright, my social media assistant, stood as a pillar when I thought I’d collapse.”

Reflecting on the lessons learned, Mark described how the tumultuous year brought him closer to God and taught him resilience, faith, and the power of grace.

“2024 was the hardest year of my life, but it was also the year God drew me closer to Him. Through the ashes, He taught me resilience, faith, and the true meaning of grace. His light never stopped shining, even in my darkest valleys.”

Mark ended his message with gratitude to everyone who stood by him and a renewed sense of hope for the future.

Controversial social media activist Martin Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has confessed to fabricating a claim about ₦180 million allegedly disappearing from his NGO’s account. He described the stunt as a social experiment to expose how quickly Nigerians believe and spread unverified information online.

In a video posted on Instagram, VeryDarkMan explained the backlash he faced and the reasoning behind his actions.

“Since I said ₦180 million went missing from the NGO account, I’ve seen comments I never expected,” he said. “But everything I do on social media reflects who I am. I’m not seeking public validation.”

The activist, known for advocating against scams and fraud, expressed dismay over the insults he received. He described how people vilified him without questioning the story’s credibility.

“All I do on social media is advocate, help people recover their money, and create awareness to prevent scams,” he said. “Sometimes, I even use my own money or borrow to support these efforts. Yet people insulted my family and called me a thief.”

VeryDarkMan criticised the tendency of social media users to accept and spread information without scrutiny.

“Eighty percent of people on social media are stupid. This experiment proves it,” he declared. “No one questioned the story. Why would I go to Jos if ₦180 million was missing, instead of reporting to authorities in Abuja? But people just shared the news without thinking.”

“The media is ruined. Someone from Niger recently claimed France gave Tinubu money to open a military base in the North East. No one asked for proof, yet the story spread like wildfire,” he said.
