Commonwealth Games 2022: Ese Brume Sets New Record, Wins Gold

Ese Brume has won a gold medal in the women’s long jump at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

She also set a new championship record of 7.00m.

The athlete has won medals in her last five major competitions; the 2019 World Championship, 2020 Olympics, 2022 Indoor Championship, 2022 World Championship and 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Brooke Buschkuehl of Australia came second while Ghana’s Deborah Acquah took the third position.

Another Nigerian, Ruth Usoro, came sixth in the final of the Women’s long jump event.
