The Eighteen Engineering Company International Limited in collaboration with Ramat Engineering Student Association (RESA) have presented certificates to one hundred and fifty Industrial Training Fund ITF Students who have successfully completed their industrial training with the company while donating engineering equipment to institutions in Borno state
The company presented the certificates and materials at a brief, ceremony yesterday organized in honour of students undergoing industrial training at the construction site of the Custom flyover in Maiduguri, the first flyover in the whole of the North East.
The president of the Engineering Student Association, Suleiman Mohammed Tahir who spoke on behalf of his colleagues thanked the management and staffs of the eighteen engineering company for their support during their industrial attachment program.
He noted that Eighteen Engineering was a global brand with a track record of delivering engineering solution and supporting communities through its corporate social responsibility programme. He noted that the company has also provided boreholes in several communities in the state as a way of assisting residents to access clean and portable water.
Also speaking at the event Mr Leon the MD of the EEC thanked the Executive Governor of Borno, Prof. Babagana Zulum for awarding the contract for the construction of the first flyover in the north east to the company saying that the company will deliver on its reputation and global standards which it is known for.
Going forward the company promised to henceforth sponsor four engineering students in each of the engineering departments of Ramat polytechnic, the state University and UNIMAID and also to construct five boreholes in the most needed areas within the State.
