Court adjourns Nnamdi Kanu’s N50bn suit against FG till April 22

Nnamdi Kanu’s N50bn lawsuit against the Federal Government has been adjourned by the Federal High Court in Abuja until April 22, 2024. The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra accuses the FG of kidnapping him from Kenya for trial in Nigeria and seeks release from DSS custody, along with a demand for N50bn in damages. The court will address issues related to extradition laws and the manner of Kanu’s abduction. The FG and AGF argue that the suit is an abuse of the court process, citing a similar case filed earlier. A hearing notice has been ordered for the absent defendants.
