The Deputy National Chairman (North) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, has donated N10 million and essential relief items to victims of a devastating fire outbreak in Wanori and Nguluri communities, Konduga Local Government Area, Borno State.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday, April 6, 2025, claimed two lives, killed numerous domestic animals, destroyed food supplies, and razed over 90% of homes—mostly occupied by internally displaced persons (IDPs) who had recently returned to their ancestral homes.
During a condolence visit on Monday, Dalori, who also chairs the Governing Board of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi, expressed deep sympathy for the victims. He emphasized that his donation was aimed at bringing relief to the affected families and easing their recovery.
Dalori, a native of Konduga, praised the Borno State Government led by Governor Babagana Zulum and other humanitarian contributors for their swift support in providing temporary shelters and relief items.
“We are here to sympathize with you over the unfortunate fire incident. May the souls of the departed rest in Jannatul Firdaus, and may Allah grant the injured a speedy recovery,” Dalori said. “This personal donation is a token of our solidarity and hope for your quick recovery.”
Accompanied by party members and government officials, Dalori reaffirmed the APC’s commitment to supporting communities in Borno, a state that has endured years of insurgency by Boko Haram.
He concluded by urging residents to handle fire with greater caution and prayed for divine protection against future disasters.
