Controversial social media activist, Verydarkman, has dismissed claims that popular singer Davido has financially supported him, stating emphatically that he has never received a single kobo from the DMW boss.
Taking to his Instagram page, Verydarkman addressed critics who frequently accuse him of being bankrolled by the Afrobeats star. He clarified that contrary to widespread assumptions, all his expenses related to Davido — including trips to Lagos and hotel stays — were personally funded.
“Every time I mention Davido, people say, ‘After all Davido has done for you.’ But let me be clear — Davido didn’t fly me to Lagos, I paid for my own flight. The hotel they said Davido booked for me, I also paid for it. For entertainment purposes, we just allowed people believe what they wanted,” he said.
Verydarkman emphasized that neither Davido nor his team has ever given him any money or contributed to his foundation, despite the ongoing speculation.
He concluded by stating that while he respects Davido and his achievements, he wants the public to know the truth and stop spreading false narratives.
